82 Balcombe Avenue, 20 07 10 Dear knitting friends Knitting for Kisiizi Following the notice given by Medical Missionary News to close it’s deliveries to Uganda, we have sought the advice of the ‘Knitting for Kisiizi’ charity based at Battle, East Sussex. The Trustees met and have put everything on hold at the moment until the end of the year. Following discussions with them they have concluded that we should close the operations down here in Worthing. Medical Missionary News has agreed that our goods, currently in the pipe line, can go to another suitable outlet such as Zambia. As a direct consequence of this we will be boxing up all goods that we have in our possession over the next month. We would be grateful, therefore, if any knitteds that you have, and wish to send, are forwarded to us straight away. We are very sad by the speed at which this has occurred and that Uganda no longer allows these goods into their country. Medical Missionary news have advised us that this has happened in respect of other neighbouring African countries, namely Congo and Rwanda. We would like to thank you all for the tremendous support that you have given us over the past three and a half years although the charity has been going for some 10+Years. We ask that you pray for the mothers, babies, doctors and nurses of Kisiizi Hospital. Thank you for your love and prayers,
Carol and Cliff Finch.
