Food Hygiene Course

There is a one day Food Hygiene Course (Level 2) being run here in September.

If you are involved in preparing food for the general public in any way you should have this qualification -

Are you involved in Tuesday Lunches, coffee mornings or helping at the church coffee shop in Steyne Gardens, or camping with Guides or Scouts? If so, you should consider applying for this course. Our church needs a pool of properly trained people. If you are interested in learning about food safety this is a perfect time to start.

bananaskinTrevor Ware is director of Bananaskin Safety Ltd. and will run the course

  • on Saturday 15 September.
  • between 9.00 am. - 4.30 pm in the AFH
  • See the company website for more information

I attended this course in the Spring and I can thoroughly recommend it. As he says at the outset food hygiene is more complicated than simple common sense and he spends the rest of the day explaining how food poisoning is becoming more and more common in our society and what we have to do to ensure we are not responsible. Trevor is an enthusiastic and engaging teacher and explains the science behind good practice, preparing participants for a short written test.

It is worth giving up the Footie for one Saturday, I promise !!

Contact Marilyn in the office as soon as possible because places are limited.
