Home Groups 2009
The aim of house groups is to deepen our knowledge and understanding of our faith and its working out in practice, by meeting together for discussion. Small informal groups encourage questioning and sharing ideas and fellowship. (all existing)
Groups meet on various days of the week, generally in people's homes, and follow a programme of discussion and activities. For more details contact Chris Lance, or the church office 01903 205722.
The programme is divided into 3 periods, Spring, Summer, and Autumn. In each period there will be
- A series suitable for individual home group study typically 4-5 sessions.
- A period when home groups can choose what to discuss and how often to meet. To maintain continuity it is suggested that this should be at least fortnightly (material can be suggested if required).
- One single meeting where all groups meet together.

Session
1. What do we mean by discipleship?
2. Talking about our faith.
3. Christian conversations in our contemporary culture.
4. Conversations with the Jesus of the Gospels.
5. Conversations with Methodist tradition.
6. Current blocks to conversations within the church
7. A restored conversation.
The year will finish with an Advent Session the detail is still to be decided
