Conclusion

The Bible makes it plain. If you want to know what God is like, just study his creation. Perhaps what the Bible means is, if you do believe in God (or even if you don’t) and you want to know what God is like, look to that which he has created. Whilst we can’t use creation to prove conclusively that God exists, it is one of a number of pieces of evidence that point very strongly to his existence.

“In the end, surely it is far more rational to believe that the universe was deliberately designed by God, with the express intention of producing intelligent beings with the capacity for a relationship with their Maker, than the alternative of a multiverse minus God. Indulging in wild and totally unscientific speculation about hypothetical, unobservable universes, the vast majority of which are completely dead and boring, in order to explain the very special nature of this particular one, looks irrational.”

  • A Prayer
  • God our Father, open our eyes that we may sense the wonder and awe in the splendour of all your creation - from the stars that are large and far away, to people and the tiniest creatures near us each day.
  • Help us to become more aware of how every living thing is special and to be treated well.
  • Lead us to respect and value every person as unique and important, made in your image and likeness.
  • We ask this prayer through Jesus, who became a human being because you love our world so much.
  • Amen.
